Rugged coastline. Raging seas. Spectacular cliffs. MizMal Wild Atlantic is a breath-taking end-to-end cycling route like no other!

Mizmal Wild Atlantic runs up the west coast of Ireland taking in much of the Wild Atlantic Way, a hugely successful initiative by the National Tourism Authority - Fáilte Ireland.

The route is approximately 525 miles / 845 km and runs south to north taking in:

Mizen Head / Killarney / Ennis / Galway / Westport / Donegal / Malin

The route runs along the Mizen Penninsula to Bantry Bay and through the Cork and Kerry mountains. It continues to Killarney and the shores of Muckross Lake and then north across the Shannon Estuary on the ferry. The Cliffs of Moher are on the route and the unique limestone plateau of the Burren. On into County Mayo, and the Conemara Natioinal Park area. Next is Galway City with its  fun vibe and enticing old pubs and Irish traditional music. The pretty town of Donegal provides one last stop-over before tackling the Innishowen Peninsula with its remote moorlands and vast sea loughs. The finish is at Malin Head - the most northerly point of Ireland.

Fáilte Ireland have produced this spectacular video of the Wild Atlantic Way.
